For a number of years this area is a famous food and wine destination, thanks to its excellent products and also for art and culture thanks to its natural beauty, old castles and monuments found in this zone.

Recently it has been proposed to include the Langhe , Monferrato and Roero in the list of the World Heritage for Humanity of UNESCO.

The weather is much diversified according to the area.

The Low Langhe has weather typical of the Po Valley, although it is mitigated by the surrounding hills.

In the High Langhe it is more dictated by the Apennines, and influenced by the weather of the Po valley. The summers are fresh, the winters cold in the valleys and milder on the hills.

Although the Langhe is quite near the sea winters are very snowy, with an average yearly fall of 50-100 cm. also on low altitudes the snow can stay on the ground up to 30 days. However, during the last few years rain and snow have seriously diminished, especially in the late spring, and increased in the autumn.
